ePier Fee Calculator v3.0 released

Fee Calculators, Web-Based Tools Add comments

ePier.comIf you've ever wanted to know how much it costs to sell on ePier, then you might want to check out my ePier Fee Calculator. ePier is an online auction site similar to eBay, but unlike eBay, ePier doesn't charge any fees up-front to list items. You only pay once your item sells or for optional things like listing upgrades. From the looks of it, they seem to be growing bigger and bigger every day. As of the time of this writing, they say they have about 124,000 registered users and get around 200,000 visitors per month. It could be something to look into if you're looking for a cheap alternative to eBay.

Since their fee structure is much less complicated than eBay's it didn't take me all that long to write this calculator. Once you enter your item's closing price, your ePier fees are instantly calculated along with your PayPal fees and total profit. You can also enter in any additional information about your auction, such as your shipping & handling amount, cost of postage, and reserve price (if any). You can also choose any listing upgrades you may be using to have their fees added in as well. Next to each listing upgrade, I've also listed it's price so you can easily modify them if need be.

You're also given the choice of whether or not you want to include your PayPal fees and if so, what your PayPal fee rate is. Right below that I've also included an editable Final Value Fee table where you easily see and edit what your Final Value Fees would be for varying amounts.

I've also included a special reverse mode in this calculator. Using the reverse calculator you simply tell the calculator what amount you want to receive after fees and it tells you what amount you should set your item's price to or how much you should charge for shippng & handling to receive that amount.

In the top right, I've also included convenient links to ePier.com and the ePier fees page in case you ever need to quickly jump to those places.

If you have any suggestions, comments, or ideas for the calculator I would love to hear them. Just leave a comment on this page or e-mail me directly and let me know. Thanks for your input!
