eBCalc 2.0 Source Code

Visual Basic Projects No Comments »

Here's the Visual Basic source code to the second version of my eBay fee calculator last updated on November 09, 2005. This is the successor to my first version, written on May 06, 2004. In this version, I tried to include every possible feature I could think of to make this a full and complete offline eBay fee calculator. I included support for single item auctions, multiple item auctions, reserve auctions, buy-it-now auctions, dutch auctions, eBay Stores, eBay Real Estate, eBay Motors and all of eBay's 2005 listing upgrades. I even added a feature where you could specify your own custom listing upgrades and their prices. Once you were done calculating your fees you could optionally add them into a fee log which could create a tally of all your fees for multiple items, and then save or print them for future reference. I probably spent about 3 months in total making this calculator, but since it was hard to update and maintain and so few people were actually using it I started making web-based versions as of August 2006. At some point in the future I may come back to this and update it with the latest eBay fee rates but it will take some time and I only want to do if there's enough demand for it. In the meantime, you can always use my latest web-based version which includes the new 2009 eBay fee rates.

PPCalc 2.2 Source Code

Visual Basic Projects No Comments »

Because I'm mainly focusing on my web-based verison now, I thought I would release the source code to my old Visual Basic version of PPCalc just in case anyone wants it or can learn something from it. I originally wrote this tool on November 04, 2005 using Visual Basic 6. This verison of the calculator marked the first time where you could type in what you wanted to receive in one currecy and the calculator could tell you what someone would have to send you in a second, different currency to receive that amount. Performing this type of calculation though requires currency conversion and the currency exchange rates used by the calculator are still from 2005. If you want more up-to-date rates you should try my advanced web-version, as that's the one I update most frequently now. Although it's not much use as a currency converter, you can still use it to calculate and reverse calculate PayPal fees as much as you want in an offline format. Enjoy!

Amazon Marketplace Fee Calculator v3.0 released

Amazon Tools, Fee Calculators, Web-Based Tools 11 Comments »

Amazon LogoHere's an Amazon Marketplace Fee Calculator I wrote to help people calculate what their fees and profit would be when using Amazon Marketplace. If you've ever bought anything from Amazon.com before you're probably familar with Amazon Marketplace. Amazon Marketplace allows sellers to offer their new and used goods directly alongside Amazon's own offerings. You can easily recognize it by seeing something like this on a product's details page...

In a way, this is similar to eBay's Half.com. Both systems allow you to list your item for an extended period of time without paying any fees until your item sells.

eBay Motors Fee Calculator v2.0 released

eBay Motors LogoHere's my newest online tool, an eBay Motors Fee Calculator. If you've ever wondered how much it would cost to sell a vehicle or vehicle parts and accessories on eBay Motors, then this tool is for you. This calculator supports all of the different vehicle and listing types available on eBay Motors and includes a special option just for Parts & Accessories. You simply enter the price of your item and the calculator figures out what your fees would be and what you would receive after fees if you were to sell an item on eBay Motors for that amount. It includes options for all of the different eBay Motors listing upgrades, has a built-in series of editable fee rate tables, and can optionally include your PayPal fees as well. It also comes with a reverse fee calculator that can tell you what price to charge for your item or what amount to charge for shipping & handling to receive the amount you want after fees.

eBay Stores Fee Calculator v2.0 released

Fee Calculators, Web-Based Tools, eBay Tools 7 Comments »

eBay Stores LogoSince a lot of people have been requesting it lately, here's my new eBay Stores Fee Calculator. If you look at the fees page for eBay Stores, you'll notice their fee structure is very different from eBay.com. This is because having an eBay Store requires you to pay a monthly subscription fee and Store listings have an increased duration of 30 days. Store listings also have slightly different visibility on eBay.com, which you can read more about on their FAQ page. Since the fees for eBay Stores are so much different I thought it would be better to make a entirely new calculator just for them rather than adding them as an option into my existing eBay fee calculator.
