This spreadsheet allows you to determine exactly what it will cost to sell an item on eBay and exactly how much profit you will make. You provide the calculator with the amount of your item and it will provide you with the exact amount of eBay fees and the exact amount of PayPal fees you would expect to pay if you sold an item on eBay for that amount. The fee calculator really gets into the nitty gritty and accounts for every last little thing that might affect your fees including what category you're selling in, what level of eBay Store you have, what format you are selling in, which listing upgrades you are using and so on. Each of which plays a factor in determining what fees you will pay. You can account for product costs, shipping costs, packing costs, insurance costs, pretty much any cost that you might be incurring as a seller to accurately determine your profit. You can also use it to compare the fees for Auction Style Format vs. Fixed Price Format to determine which is a better fit for your item. You can also use it as a break-even calculator to determine the minimum price you would need to sell your item for so that you don't unintentionally lose money from the sale.

It is a profit prediction and analysis tool to allow you to better judge whether a particular item is worth selling or not based on the potential profit you would receive.

eBay Bookmarklets

Bookmarklets, eBay Tools No Comments »

eBay LogoHere are some handy bookmarklets I've created for eBay that will save you some time. Bookmarklets are like regular bookmarks in your web browser except they do something useful when you click on them (read more about bookmarklets on Wikipedia). For example, let's say you shop on eBay a lot and you always buy from the same 3 sellers (John, Mary, and Sue). Every day you check back on eBay to see if John, Mary, or Sue have any new items for sale. In this case most people would just create 3 seperate bookmarks in their web browser, one for John's page, one for Mary's page, and one for Sue's page. But what if there was a way to combine those three bookmarks into one? Well, with a bookmarklet, you can! When you click on the bookmarklet it would ask you which seller's items you want to see, then you enter a seller's name and all of their available items would come up. Bookmarklets are kind of like interactive bookmarks. They can can save you time by allowing you to jump to common eBay destinations faster. To use these bookmarklets simply drag each link to the bookmarks toolbar in your web browser or right-click on them and choose "Add to Bookmarks".

It includes options for all of the different eBay Motors listing upgrades, has a built-in series of editable fee rate tables, and can optionally include your PayPal fees as well. eBay Stores Fee Calculator v2.0 released

eBay Tools, Fee Calculators, Web-Based Tools 7 Comments »

eBay Stores LogoSince a lot of people have been requesting it lately, here's my new eBay Stores Fee Calculator. If you look at the fees page for eBay Stores, you'll notice their fee structure is very different from eBay.com. This is because having an eBay Store requires you to pay a monthly subscription fee and Store listings have an increased duration of 30 days. Store listings also have slightly different visibility on eBay.com, which you can read more about on their FAQ page. Since the fees for eBay Stores are so much different I thought it would be better to make a entirely new calculator just for them rather than adding them as an option into my existing eBay fee calculator.
